Dear Parents,
We are aiming to open school from 11am in the morning. Unfortunately this means there will be no breakfast club. The forecast is for freezing conditions over night and the delayed start will allow everyone travelling by car to travel safely after the rush hour. There will be no hot lunches tomorrow so please can all children bring a packed lunch. The afternoon performances of our Christmas plays will go ahead in the hall from 1.15 as planned. There will be no champions club tomorrow after school. Any bookings can be carried forward to next term. Thank you for your support and patience. Closing the school is never an easy decision but the safety of children and staff is paramount. The road into the village will be very icy in the morning. Please walk where possible and take care. Dear Parents
Due to the snow today and freezing temperatures forecast overnight, I have taken the decision to close school tomorrow. Having spoken to villagers in Aston Rowant, the roads and school site is treacherous and the safety of the children and everyone travelling is paramount. Please stay safe if you are out and about on the roads tomorrow. I will update this blog tomorrow with the aim to open as usual on Tuesday. If you would like snow day activities for your children, I would suggest a polar themed project, lots of baking, writing snow poetry and snowy art work. Any work completed at home must be brought to school so that we can display. Of course lots of reading, learn your phonics/spellings/ times tables. Enjoy the snow everyone. Stay safe. Mrs Roberts x
