  • Learning exhibition

Wed 12 Jul 2017 Mrs Roberts
Looking forward to our learning exhibition tomorrow afternoon. Our wonderful school will be open to visitors from 2.30. Come along and see what the children have been learning in all our classrooms.
  • Let loose!

Wed 12 Jul 2017 Mrs Roberts
Such a funny performance of 'Let loose' by Owl class. I am so proud of them all. It amazes me every year that our children put together such great end of year performances. This is the children's chance to shine in front of a real audience before our Year 6 children move on to their secondary schools. The end of the school year is creeping up on us quickly. 😢
  • Silly semi colon!

Mon 10 Jul 2017 Mrs Roberts
SATs marking gone mad? How can a semi colon be too big and not quite face the correct way? Surely this question was testing the position of it within the sentence! Grrr😈
  • Summer Fete 2017

Sun 02 Jul 2017 Mrs Roberts

What a wonderful afternoon! It was a pleasure to open our annual village fete again this year. I am humbled by the generosity of everyone to give their time, money, raffle prizes and gifts to make our fete so successful.

Of course special thanks must go to Pavlina, Alison and Elissa our PTA committee, who have worked tirelessly all year to make this event a success. Also big thanks go to all the parents, teachers and staff at school and the children who gave their time this afternoon to manage stalls and events.

It was lovely to see so many local businesses offering their time and gifts also. Mr Midwinter and 'Learn and Master' spent the afternoon zorbing and organising the penalty shoot out. Mrs Wodynski offered massages and facials. Mr and Mrs Britnell had pony rides on the go and the Christmas common food company also offered their produce.

Without the support of our local community, villagers of Aston Rowant and the congregation of St Peter and St Paul's church it wouldn't be such a success. So a big thank you must go to them also.

I was amazed this year by the amount of visitors we had. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with people enjoying their Pimms and BBQ in the sunshine. A really enjoyable time was had by all. THANK YOU!
