Finance Officer

 

Start: 31st October 2022

10 hours per week, flexible working pattern

Term time plus inset days – 39 weeks per year

Salary Grade 8 salary £25,419 pro rata

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join the team at our friendly Church of England Primary School.  The position would be suitable for a person with experience of finance wanting flexible working hours and involves providing support to the Head Teacher with all finance and business related matters relating to the running of the school.  The role will involve using school IT systems and keeping all records up to date.  Previous experience of using IT is essential and training can be given on school specific packages.

 

The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and be able to be proactive in their approach to work.

We require a Finance Officer who is/has

  • Previous experience of finance and budget monitoring
  • Strong administrative skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Ability to manage manual and computerised records and information
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate data and information and produce relevant reports
  • Provide finance, personnel, administrative and organisational support to the leadership team
  • Professional, responsible and is able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Organised, flexible in approach and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate to all stakeholders connected to the school.
  • An awareness of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • A commitment to safeguarding children
  • A commitment to the vision and values of the school

Office Administrator

We are looking for an Office Administrator to work in the school office and join the team at our friendly Church of England Primary School.  The position would be suitable for a person with experience of working in an office environment in a school setting. The position involves providing support to the Head Teacher with all admin related matters and completing essential tasks within the school office.  The individual should be customer-service focused as they are generally the first point of contact for all parents and visitors to the school. The role will involve using school IT systems and keeping all records up to date.  Previous experience of using IT is essential and training can be given on school specific packages.

 

The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and be able to be proactive in their approach to work.

  • An awareness of responsibilities for health and safety for the staff and children and for the building.
