  In Maths club, we took advantage of the fabulous weather to get outside and play a variety of maths games. Here we are working together and using our bodies to make different shapes. 

  

• Policeman in school!

  PC  (Mr) Midwinter came back to visit us today and talk to us about his new role in the Thames Valley Police force. We learned about people who help us, training to become a police officer and even got to go into the police van! How exciting!

• The Big Schools Birdwatch

  We will be taking part in the bird watch again this year. Children are encouraged to bring bird seed into school (no nuts please!) as soon as possible so that we can attract many of our feathered friends into our wilderness area. The bird watch will take place on February 15th - don't forget your binoculars! Thank you.

• School Progress League Tables

  We are delighted to have received our progress data. Due to the hard work that our dedicated school team attach to pupil progress, we have been ranked 3rd in County for progress in Reading and 5th in County for Progress in Maths. This demonstrates to us that our creative curriculum, small class sizes and nurturing ethos ensures the best outcomes for our children. We are thrilled to bits!

  We LOVED going to the Pantomime at the Oxford Playhouse this week! This whole school trip is a firm favourite of our Christmas traditions at Aston Rowant and the children participated enthusiastically! ('Oh yes they did!') • Christmas disco

  Thank you so much to our wonderful PTA who organised another Christmas disco for our children. The children boogied the night away, enjoyed the photo booth and ate hot dogs and sweets. A fantastic time was had by everyone!
