Music Enrichment Week is a highlight of the school year, filled with workshops, performances, and joyful learning.
The 2024 Music Enrichment Week included:
Live Performances
Children experienced live music from:
- professional horn players
- flautists
- violinists
- tenor horn players
- pianists
- vocalists
Whole-School Workshop Day
Across four house-based workshops, children explored:
- Texture & dynamics through “I See a Song” visual music art
- Timbre through junk-modelling instrument making
- African drumming (beat & rhythm)
- Singing and movement in a vocal workshop
Class Recitals
Individual musicians performed solos and duets, developing confidence and stagecraft.
School Band Formation
The beginnings of a new school band emerged as pupils played “Celebratory Fanfare” together.
Professional Conductor Visit
The school welcomed internationally acclaimed conductor Chloé Rooke, who led workshops for EYFS–KS2 and shared her experiences of opera and orchestral conducting.
Music Enrichment Week allows all children to experience live music, professional artistry and creative exploration - bringing our curriculum to life.
