Music Enrichment Week is a highlight of the school year, filled with workshops, performances, and joyful learning.

The 2024 Music Enrichment Week included:

Live Performances

Children experienced live music from:

  • professional horn players
  • flautists
  • violinists
  • tenor horn players
  • pianists
  • vocalists

Whole-School Workshop Day

Across four house-based workshops, children explored:

  • Texture & dynamics through “I See a Song” visual music art
  • Timbre through junk-modelling instrument making
  • African drumming (beat & rhythm)
  • Singing and movement in a vocal workshop

Class Recitals

Individual musicians performed solos and duets, developing confidence and stagecraft.

School Band Formation

The beginnings of a new school band emerged as pupils played “Celebratory Fanfare” together.

Professional Conductor Visit

The school welcomed internationally acclaimed conductor Chloé Rooke, who led workshops for EYFS–KS2 and shared her experiences of opera and orchestral conducting.

Music Enrichment Week allows all children to experience live music, professional artistry and creative exploration - bringing our curriculum to life.
