We enhance children’s activity levels through:
- Daily Mile before school
- After-school sports clubs
- Lunchtime sports zones
- Active play equipment
- Play Leaders supporting games
- Fitness trails, running challenges, skipping and playground activities
- Change4Life style activity sessions for less-active pupils
Our aim is for every child to achieve 30 minutes of activity in school daily - and to love moving.
Active Lunchtimes
Our JR Sports coaches also run structured games and activities at lunchtimes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
These sessions:
- Encourage positive play and cooperation
- Support fitness and wellbeing
- Provide inclusive opportunities for all pupils
- Promote enjoyment of movement beyond lesson time
Active lunchtimes help pupils develop healthy habits and positive social interactions.
