13. Record-Keeping and Information Sharing
Our school maintains secure, confidential child-protection records in accordance with statutory expectations. Records are stored safely, accessed only by authorised safeguarding personnel, and held in line with data-protection legislation.
As recommended in KCSIE 2025 updates, we follow GDPR principles and utilise the Department for Education’s data protection guidance for schools, ensuring that safeguarding information is recorded accurately, proportionately and lawfully. Information sharing is carried out in accordance with national guidance: we share information with external agencies such as social care, police, health or Early Help services only where it is necessary, proportionate and in the best interests of the child. These processes ensure that safeguarding actions are timely, coordinated and effective.
