PTA Christmas Market Needs You!

Christmas now? Yes, really!

We're talking about Christmas. In September. And for that we apologise.

It’s all to make the school’s Christmas Market on 7th December from 2.30 – 5.00pm at Chinnor Village Hall a success. We’re arranging it as a fundraiser and to showcase our school. But most of all to bring some Christmas spirit to our children.

To do this, we need you. Here’s how you can help:

1) Donate a teddy bear – give your old teddies to Georgia, mum to Archie (Fox) and Ophelia (Squirrel) at the school gates as soon as you can or before 25th October. Your teddy will have a spa day in Elaine’s washing machine, before getting a Christmas makeover to look amazing in the teddy tombola.

2) Bring a bottle – please hang on to any surplus wine or bubbles. We’ll be collecting them at a later date, but for now, keep them handy. And uncorked. ;)

3) Bake a cake – everyone loves them, and they are easy to sell. Choose to bake a whole cake to be sold as it is, or make traybakes, brownies or cupcakes to be sold at our pop-up-café on the day. Let Laura, mum to Leon and twins Reuben and Harry (Squirrel), know if you can help.

4) Share a Christmas recipe, or how to make festive decorations. We’re making a beautiful, illustrated book for you to order as a Christmas present for yourself or for family members. All with contributions from Aston Rowant pupils and their parents. Get in touch with Ulrika, mum to Aava (Owl), now so we can print them on time!

5) Book a stall – nudge a friend with a local business or book a stall for your own Christmas things. Get in touch with Alanah, James’ mum (Owl) and Jake (Squirrel)

Other things to look forward to on the day are a visit from Father Christmas and craft stalls where the children can get decorated (with face paint) or create decorations and food for Blitzen and Rudolph and their reindeer friends.

We also hope to have Christmas carols for a good old sing-along for those who enjoy a carol or two.
We look forward to seeing you there, but until then – please get involved now!
