What we’ve improved since our last Ofsted inspection

  • Further strengthened our ambitious curriculum, ensuring that all pupils continue to achieve well with no limits placed on their success.
  • Refined our approach to assessment, so that it is now more closely aligned to the curriculum and focused on securing what pupils know, understand and remember over time.

  • Enhanced the consistency of teaching across the school, ensuring that learning is carefully sequenced and builds on what pupils already know.

  • Further developed our inclusive practice, so that all pupils, including those with SEND, are supported effectively to access the full curriculum and achieve well.

  • Strengthened early reading and our wider reading culture, ensuring pupils develop both accuracy and a genuine enjoyment of reading.

  • Extended enrichment opportunities, providing pupils with a wider range of experiences that support their personal development and bring learning to life.

  • Deepened pupils’ confidence, behaviour and attitudes to learning, building on the already strong conduct noted during the inspection, so that pupils continue to work hard and support one another.

  • Further embedded our nurturing and aspirational ethos, ensuring that every child continues to feel known, valued and supported to flourish.

  • Strengthened leadership and monitoring, giving leaders a clearer understanding of how well pupils are learning the intended curriculum across subjects.

  • Ensured that all pupils continue to benefit from a strong sense of belonging and care, with relationships across the school remaining a key strength.

“As a result, pupils experience a broad, ambitious and inclusive education and are well prepared for the next stage of their learning.”
