h. Inclusion & Diversity Day
During our Inclusion and Diversity Day, ‘Different Together’, pupils worked in mixed‑age House teams to explore identity, kindness, culture and inclusion through carefully designed workshops. Adults modelled respectful listening and inclusive language, and pupils engaged thoughtfully with activities that were accessible to all, including those with SEND and EAL.
Pupil voice was central to the day. Children confidently shared aspects of their identity, reflected on their experiences, and articulated how they can support others in school. Activities were designed to build empathy and to demonstrate that everyone belongs as part of our school community.
The day provided clear evidence of our school values in action, particularly in relation to behaviour, positive relationships and safeguarding culture. Pupils showed high levels of engagement, cooperation and respect for one another, and older pupils took on leadership roles in supporting younger children and modelling kindness.
Learning from the day is being embedded through classroom practice, displays and ongoing pupil pledges, ensuring that the impact of this work is sustained beyond the event itself.
