f. Worship Leaders (Year 6)

Our Year 6 Worship Leaders support our Christian vision and contribute to daily Collective Worship.

What Worship Leaders Do

  • Help set up and prepare the hall (candles, music, readings)
  • Lead prayers, reflections or dramas
  • Support the running of Collective Worship on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Encourage reverence and focus during worship
  • Share Bible readings or introduce worship songs
  • Help evaluate worship themes

On Thursdays, each class has its own Class Worship, with different pupils taking responsibility for planning and leading their session.

Why This Role Matters

Worship Leaders help uphold our Christian vision and ensure that Collective Worship remains meaningful, reflective and joyful. Their leadership empowers pupils to take ownership of worship, deepening the school’s spiritual life. By reading prayers, choosing songs, leading reflections and modelling reverence, they help bring our GROWTH values to life. Worship Leaders help younger children understand the importance of stillness, gratitude and respect.
