Intent

To promote emotional wellbeing, self-regulation and resilience.

  • “Let’s Connect” activities
  • Mindfulness sessions
  • Calm spaces
  • Art & reflection
  • Worry box check-ins
  • Peer support discussions
Impact

Children develop emotional regulation, resilience and empathy, enabling them to thrive academically and socially.

Impact includes:

  • Expanded emotional vocabulary, helping pupils articulate feelings safely and accurately.
  • Increased help-seeking behaviour, with pupils approaching trusted adults confidently.
  • Greater peer support, including kindness initiatives and reflective discussions.
  • Improved self-regulation, visible in transitions, learning behaviours and playground interactions.
  • Normalisation of mental health conversations, reducing stigma and promoting self-care.

Most importantly, our pupils can explain how they look after their wellbeing and support others.
