3. How to apply (In-year admissions)

If you are moving into the local area or wishing to transfer your child to Aston Rowant CofE Primary School during the school year, in-year admissions are managed through Oxfordshire County Council.

Applications may be made:

• At any point in the year
• No more than 6 weeks before the intended start date
• For a September move, applications cannot be submitted before the first day of the second half of the summer term (June)

The Local Authority aims to respond to in-year applications within 15 school days.

When Places Can Be Offered

A place will be offered if:

• A place exists in the appropriate year group, and
• Admitting another pupil would not prejudice efficient education or the organisation of the class.

If more applications are received than available places, the oversubscription criteria will be applied (see section here).
