We are committed to ensuring that every pupil feels valued, respected and able to thrive. Our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) links closely with the British Values of mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. 

Celebrating Diversity 

We celebrate the rich diversity of our school community through: 

• Curriculum topics that explore a wide range of cultures, histories and perspectives 

• Whole-school events such as cultural days, festivals and themed assemblies 

• Books, displays and resources that reflect a diverse society 

Children learn to appreciate differences, challenge stereotypes and develop respect for everyone. 

Inclusive Curriculum & Teaching 

Our curriculum is designed to be accessible to all learners. We adapt teaching to meet individual needs, ensuring that every child has equal opportunities to succeed. Staff receive ongoing training on inclusion, representation, and addressing unconscious bias.

Respect is at the heart of our school ethos. We actively teach and model:

• Respectful discussion and active listening 

• Understanding and empathy for others 

We promote a zero-tolerance approach to discriminatory language or behaviour. Pupils are encouraged to speak up, support one another, and help maintain a welcoming environment. 

Supporting Equal Opportunities 

We ensure fair access to clubs, trips and enrichment opportunities. Leaders carefully monitor participation so that all pupils — including disadvantaged pupils, SEND learners and minority groups — are included and supported.
