15. Whistleblowing and Allegations Against Staff

We maintain a clear and robust whistleblowing procedure, enabling all staff, volunteers and contractors to raise concerns about unsafe practice, misconduct or wrongdoing without fear of reprisal. Concerns are always treated seriously and investigated appropriately.

Where an allegation is made against a member of staff, we follow the detailed processes set out in KCSIE 2025 Part 4, which distinguishes between allegations that meet the harm threshold and low-level concerns that do not.

In all cases, the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) is consulted without delay whenever an allegation suggests that an adult may have harmed a child, may pose a risk, or may have behaved in a way incompatible with safeguarding expectations.

These processes ensure the safety of pupils, uphold professional accountability, and comply with statutory safeguarding expectations.
