12. Safeguarding Training
Safeguarding training is essential to maintaining a vigilant and knowledgeable staff team. In line with statutory requirements in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025, all staff receive annual safeguarding training, ensuring they remain up to date with current legislation, procedures and emerging risks.
Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) undertake specialist DSL training every two years, and all newly appointed staff complete safeguarding induction as part of their onboarding. Regular in-year updates ensure that staff remain aware of changes to legislation or local safeguarding priorities.
We also participate in OSCB (Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership) training, briefings and annual safeguarding audits, ensuring our school’s safeguarding culture remains aligned with local multi-agency standards and continuous improvement priorities. Through this ongoing programme of professional learning, we maintain a highly informed, confident and accountable workforce.
