b. Gardening Club (Mondays)

Led by Mrs Smith (TA)

Gardening Club offers children a unique opportunity to learn outdoors while developing scientific understanding, responsibility and wellbeing. Pupils work hands‑on with soil, seeds and plants, gaining first‑hand experience of how living things grow and thrive.

Children are currently developing:

  • A sensory garden, designed to stimulate the senses and provide a calm, reflective outdoor space
  • Two vegetable beds, encouraging an understanding of food, sustainability and healthy living

The club supports:

  • Science learning (plants, lifecycles, habitats, seasonal change)
  • Personal development through teamwork, patience and care
  • Emotional wellbeing, as time outdoors and nurturing nature supports calmness and positivity

Gardening Club also fosters pride in the school environment and a sense of shared responsibility, helping pupils see themselves as active contributors to their community.
