Talk for Writing
One way we plan a narrative is to split our story into 'Plot Points' to help us think about how a story unfolds. Lots of drama, sharing, storystepping and storytelling (all talk based!) helps us to develop our plot as well as our story vocabulary.
Children should be able to read and spell all of the words in the Year 1 and 2 Spelling list. We have been revising some of these this term.
By the end of Year 4, children will be expected to read and spell all words in the statutory 3/4 list and use them in their writing.
